The Bespoke
Process

From first conversation to final installation, every bespoke commission follows a structured five-stage process — designed to ensure your vision is realised without compromise.

Initial Consultation

Week 1

Your dedicated DGN London project manager meets with you — in person at our St. John's Hill gallery or via video — to understand the space, brief, and vision. We review architectural drawings, mood boards, and material preferences to establish the full scope.

Design & Specification

Weeks 2–3

Our design team produces detailed CAD drawings, material specifications, and finish samples. For complex fit-outs, we provide 3D visualisations of the pieces in situ. You review and approve every dimension, finish, and detail before production begins.

Sample Approval

Weeks 3–5

A physical sample or prototype is produced at our N15 workshop for your sign-off. This is your opportunity to assess the finish quality, weight, and proportions in real life. No production run begins without written sample approval.

Production

Weeks 6–14

All pieces are crafted at our London workshop using marine-grade aluminium, FSC-certified teak, and Sunbrella-grade outdoor fabrics. Each item passes through a 12-point quality control inspection before leaving the workshop.

Delivery & Installation

Week 15+

White-glove delivery and installation is available across the UK and internationally. Our team handles all logistics, including customs documentation for overseas projects. Post-installation, we conduct a formal handover and provide a full care guide.

Bespoke FAQ

Can I specify a colour that isn't in your standard range?

Yes. We can match any RAL, NCS, or Pantone reference for powder-coated frames. For upholstery, we work with Sunbrella's custom colour programme for orders of 50+ metres of fabric.

Do you offer a design service for outdoor spaces?

Our in-house team can produce furniture layouts and space-planning drawings for your terrace, garden, or poolside. For full landscape design, we work alongside a network of trusted landscape architects.

What is your warranty on bespoke pieces?

All bespoke pieces carry the same warranty as our standard range: 5 years on frames, 2 years on upholstery and cushions. Marine-grade aluminium frames are guaranteed against corrosion for 10 years.

Can you match existing furniture from a previous DGN London order?

Yes. We retain production records for all orders placed since 2010. Provide your original order reference and we can reproduce exact specifications, including discontinued finishes where stock permits.

Do you ship internationally?

We deliver worldwide. Our logistics team handles all freight, customs documentation, and insurance. Delivery times vary by destination; your project manager will provide a precise timeline at quotation stage.

Is there a cost for the initial consultation?

The initial consultation is complimentary. Design fees apply for full space-planning and 3D visualisation services, which are credited against your order upon confirmation.
